Human Intelligence and Artificial Stupidity… and Vice Versa

Amidst AI hype and concerns, we're just starting to grasp which tasks AI excels at and where it falters, which we might call "Artificial Stupidity." It's crucial tocompare this with human strengths and weaknesses - our “Human Intelligence” and "Human Stupidity." By critically assessing human traits like creativity, curiosity, intuition, and handling ambiguity, we can better determine where AI tools add value and where they fall short. (Note: No AI tools were used in writing this abstract or talk… but should they have been?)

Bio

Dr Christian Walsh is a Senior Lecturer and Associate MBA Director in the UC Business School. His teaching and research are focused on how to help people unleash their curiosity, intuition, and creativity to make a positive impact in the world.
