What Came First the Volcano or the Earthquake?

Professor Ben Kennedy was only 5 years old when he first asked the question “Why do volcanoes erupt?”. Now, 44 years later, he is still asking the same question, but has much cooler toys. Ben will share his passion for magma, bubbles, cracks and pressure as he explains the interactions between earthquakes and volcanoes, the crazy experiments involved in exploring how magma makes its way to the surface, and shares tales of erupting volcanoes.
