What’s Law got to do with Religion (and vice-versa)?

We will examine the linked (and un-linked) relationship between law and religion in Australia today. We will begin with an analysis of English legal history that cemented the central role of the Christian religion in Australian law. We will then examine the consequences and challenges that that religious foundation has presented and continues to present for modern Australia.

What are the implications now that the recent census tells us that the number of people declaring a Christian faith has dipped below 50% for the first time?
