How to predict a heart attack
An Australian suffers a heart attack every nine minutes. But heart disease is largely preventable, if we can identify modifiable risk factors and manage them well. Researchers have now created an algorithm that can predict one’s risk of developing a heart attack or stroke in the next five years.
In this talk, Natalie Raffoul from the National Heart Foundation explains how a new predictive tool uses nine variables, including your post code, to help detect heart disease risk factors early. Discover the tools and information that can help you prevent heart disease.
