The kids are alright: improving youth mental health

Mental health is one of the greatest challenges facing young people today, with more than three quarters of mental health issues occurring before the age of 25. We know prevention is crucial – but what should this look like?

In this talk, Dr Katrina Champion unpacks Australia’s youth mental health crisis, and explores the factors that might contribute to poor mental health, from social media usage to sleep habits and physical activity.

Find out what parents, teachers, and communities can do to help create mentally healthier futures for our teens, and support the young people in our lives.
