Little white lies and porky pies

Ever feel guilty about telling a little white lie? Well, don’t – we all do it. Join us to hear Dr Rebecca Sharp discuss one psychological framework for understanding why we lie: we lie because it is useful for us. Despite the fact that we all tell lies, there are contexts in which we are concerned about people’s lying. In this talk, Rebecca will share her experience and research in supporting people with traumatic brain injuries and dementia who might be confused about the truth, and share some of the strategies we might use to support them.
