Exploring the flats and cracks of Australia’s deep sea
The search for the deepest location on Earth has been a pursuit spanning many years but Australian waters have their own (largely unexplored) deep-sea habitat teeming with life. Australia’s deep sea is often lost in the shadow of the charismatic coral reefs, but scientists are slowly uncovering its vast and complex habitats. In this talk, Todd Bond will explore Australia’s relationship with deep-sea science, and the research into unique habitats and the delicate organisms found in the depths of our backyard.
