From corporate worker to social warrior

How can we make the change we want to see in the world?

Many of us are questioning how we can stand up for something and create ripples of change. Join Jasper, who left his comfortable life at Google to begin a journey of self-discovery that eventually led to starting a social enterprise. Jasper swapped the corporate ladder for putting on epic parties that don’t cost you your health.

Find out how Jasper’s leap of self-exploration brought him to organising Australia’s biggest sober dance party. By working at social impact initiative StartSomeGood, Jasper is supporting others to launch sustainable social projects that can create lasting change.

Bio

Jasper Vallance is an ex-Google employee, consultant, coach, program manager, team leader and facilitator. Jasper is well known in the Burning Man community for starting one of the largest parties at Burning Seed, where thousands dance into the sunset.

Noticing the issue of overconsumption of alcohol and drugs in the Australian party scene, Jasper set out on a mission to inspire a healthier party culture. Jasper launched the largest sober dance party in Australia on Shark Island in 2019. After Covid hit, he managed to crowdfund $50,000 to enable the venture’s biggest event yet, Xstatic Wonderland Festival at Sydney Town Hall.
