Preventing Sudden Cardiac Death with Cutting-Edge Ultrasound Technology
Sudden cardiac death is something that can occur suddenly and unexpectantly. The most common cause is scar tissue within the muscle of the heart, however this is difficult to detect. A new technique of cardiac ultrasound known as strain derived mechanical dispersion may hold the key to early detection and prevention of sudden cardiac death in patients with prior abnormalities of the heart muscle. Hear how this new technology works and what it can do to both save lives and reduced the cost burden on hospitals.
