What are the downsides of human-centred design?
What do Airbnb, green bike lanes and corn flakes have in common? They're all credited as examples of human-centred design - an approach to design where people come first and technology comes second. As technology advances faster and faster, human-centred design has been critical to making machines work for us, rather than the other way around. But every approach has its blind spots. Look beyond the human centre with local designer Jussi Pasanen, who’ll ask questions about which humans are centred by human-centred design, and how our next design paradigm could seek to consider not just humans but all living beings. Maybe we're not the centre of the universe after all.
