If you haven't been playing trivia based on the niche study areas of local PhD candidates, have you *really* been playing trivia? In this special event hosted by local trivia legend Jess McGuire, you'll listen to short presentations by 3 PhD students, each of which will be followed by a round of trivia. This is trivia you may need to cram for - are you game?
Speaker 1: Rohan Byrne, planetary geologist, asks ‘What kind of a thing is a planet?’
Speaker 2: Rebecca Harkins Cross, cultural critic, asks ‘How well do you know Australian cinema?’
Speaker 3: Winnie Orchard, neurologist asks, ‘How does being a parent change the structure of your brain?

Jess McGuire is a writer, DJ, broadcaster, and MC based in Melbourne. She appears regularly on ABC Local Radio and Double J as a reviewer and cultural commentator, and for many years she was the editor of pop culture website Defamer Australia. She is a former presenter of Triple R’s flagship Breakfasters show.
