Is it time to stop calling renewable energy green?
Australia is one of the few countries in the world with a natural abundance of both fossil fuel and renewable energy sources. With a sufficient supply of resources to meet our energy needs, our focus for change has been driven solely by the environmental benefits. This puts us in a unique and difficult position, with our renewable energy laws vulnerable to attack in a way not seen in other countries. As factions of ideology produce uncertainty and hamper investment in renewable energy, how do we address these urgent issues to ensure Australia becomes a renewable energy powerhouse?
