Bio

For Amanda Salis, weight loss and nutrition is a personal issue. After struggling with her own weight for years, she decided to take matters into her own hands and undertook a PhD to understand what processes in the brain contribute to hunger during dieting. Applying what she learned to her own weight, she managed to lose almost 30 kg and has kept it off since. Now working at the University of Sydney as a Professor of Obesity Research, Amanda is dedicated to helping other people with excess weight to attain and maintain a healthy weight, for life.
